Reviewer Guidance

Review Criteria

Papers submitted under the Conference Themes for review shall be evaluated
using the following—equally weighted—criteria:

  • Relevance to conference themes;

  • Originality;

  • Technical or research content and depth;

  • Defensibility; and

  • Intelligibility to a range of audiences (for example, scientific, policy and lay readers).

Review Process

  • Numbering Scheme To Expedite the Review Process

    • Unique numbers have been given to each proposal submitted for review;

    • The numbers are based on:

      • Unique Proposal Number-Conference Theme Number (I – VIII [1-8])-Language. For example:

        • 001-1-EN [English];

        • 002-1-AR [Arabic];

        • 006-5-FR [French];

        • 012-6-FR;

        • 085-7-EN; etc.

  • Papers shall be reviewed by no less than three members of the Scientific Advisory Board. Expected Review Turnaround time is 48 hours.

  • Scoring Reviews

    • 25 is the Highest Score Possible

    • 15 is the Lowest Acceptable Score [below 15 Decline]
