The goal of Dark Sky Chronicles is to promote the mission to protect and preserve the night sky by:
- Documenting its history
- Following current news of successes and setbacks
- Looking at the hopes, dreams and concrete plans for the future
- Providing information about light pollution and what each of us can do to reduce it
- Promoting dark sky tourism
