Event Metrics - Measurement

Existence provides a system framework to let individuals know that their work is appreciated, allowing comparison of the different components of the work, relative to other player’s abilities rather than based on an absolute standard. Participants will be evaluated on initiative, ability and knowledge base.

All event activities will be logged for metric data – forms that collect and collate data will be provided. Necessary information includes: Date, Time, Location, Participants, Hours, Topics covered, Equipment used, Type of data collected, Chain of Custody for data collection, Safety and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. The participants never know exactly which Metrix System measures are being used for that event’s evaluation.

The participants develop proficiencies toward certain skill sets that are useful to their home community. As they demonstrate useful skills, they can be invited to participate in other communities and use the skill for both personal and community development. Each community will require skills to create goods and services that can be used for barter exchange within the community network.

The major goal of Existence is to develop sovereignty of thought, with application to problem solving using natural resources to community benefit, while developing a stewardship ethos toward the earth. Players participate in real research projects that develop inquiry, creating products and processes used to create local cottage industry. The progress is recorded on film and measured accurately to verify information first hand.
