Existence

Why Existence?

article: Why Existence?

Existence is a role-play game developed by the Universal Sovereigns of a Living Earth to teach hands-on earth stewardship practices. There is no core set of rules – the game functions based on sacred geometry and follows natural law. Conventions are developed at each site that relate to the function of that site; they do not need to be consistent from one place to the next. Each satellite location is free to carry on what works for them and to morph the way things are done to function best in that particular environment.

The question becomes how do we develop a group mentality that includes independence of thought? A flock of birds or a school of fish can sense the essence and move simultaneously – how can we develop that hive mind in humans that knows instinctively when to lead and when to follow?

One of the goals is to inspire people to learn. We wish to develop skill sets by doing things, where time spent serves as a means of logging effort and intensity. We are engaging in major paradigm shifts, where people are meeting with tough times that do not have nice discreet answers.

Imagine the mitosis separation diagram using the Fibonacci series for branches out of each of the separate modes. By the time the series gets to five, the threads generated become complicated. If this is a model for interpersonal interactions, with the two nodes as the initial grounds, then the continuum forms an exchange media.

We wish to demonstrate a game system that works and is easy enough for people to duplicate. It has a tracking system that allows for variation, by people showing interest in the process, and tinkering with what happens when you make a change in one of the parameters. Varied input is essential; we all need to learn what works and what doesn’t work so that we can refine our effort. Feedback is essential

We agree to think about the process and we learn by doing the work. We can test ideas through observation of experiments and have the patience to allow things to happen on their own time frame. We need people who believe in their own capability and are willing to attempt things than might not work. There is a lot of false learning that we have from the existing system – we have to sort out the good information from the tall tales. Bernard tells the mosquito hawk story – we have to correct the errors rather than perpetuating them.

People develop their skills by putting in time on a theme task – the motivation is the ability to exchange information and to have a good time. This model establishes co-creation of knowledge via low-tech experiments like the seed counting done by Gregor Mendel. It requires motivation and individual buy-in, with the products being a feedback loop of tested sustainable permaculture techniques.

In the USLE model – when one becomes grounded in a technique, one can quantum mechanically travel between the forefront of the wave and the generation point of that wave. It comes as the movement of yin to yang without the need for a time interval. Grounding provides the basis for getting your head straight prior to starting in the opposite direction – the field becomes the muddle in the middle that must be approached from one side or the other. Each duality is the far contrast of opinions within a unity. The goal is to create the spectrum of thought that results in production of value.

The depth level 1 8 depends on ability to apply the skill set, whereas the theme can be any directive that we wish to accomplish. People develop skill sets for permaculture production, operations and distribution, such that they fit one of the components that allow their best contribution to the whole. One size does not fit all – each individual has their own basic flow form that permeates through the system. The skill sets are for gardening, or soil tending, or animal husbandry, or marketing or whatever fills the immediate need. The hour cards help track the skill sets and themes, such that barter for time can be made easier. Skills and themes fit into a grid of 64.

People will exchange information between all skill levels on every project. The shades of color on the hour cards will tell the depth of knowledge in the theme area, while the back of the card will contain information on skill sets – workshops attended – hours banked – numerology and other useful tidbits of information. The themes will determine the base colors – using a rainbow continuum developed specifically for this site. The pyramid works with most people at the top being exposed to the sunlight and open air, having support from people who know how to get things done. Once you earn your wings, you get to be a mentor as well as a learner – we all have a lot to learn.

Time and space are part of our sense of place – the times have changes, so that the places we remember no longer exist to function the way we have always expected them to. Being in love with life means wishing to extend on – learning new ways of doing things that were taken care of by mechanisms no longer work. Schoolhouse Earth gives us a chance to develop the ability to create our desires. It provides a means of supplying food to our growing community.
