Existence: Chapter Seventeen
Parameters– There are areas that we know well and other areas that we wish to know better. Each of us has individual expertise that can be applied to aspects of other people’s projects that would enhance the product provided by the group effort. By defining themes and skills and how they applies, then teaching to others through the workshops; we can combine efforts to develop superior mechanisms of making our creative desires happen. As we increase the skill level within the group, we increase our stewardship effectiveness and enhance the loving relationship with Gaia in our natural community.
Redile– Research Directed Learning is a method of creating skill sets that will assist us on our pathway of our future. By looking at the direct collection and application of knowledge, we attune our next steps toward the vision that we wish to create. Each of us can picture the role that we wish to play in the development of community. Existence will bring people together with an orientation toward sharing the workload and applying group effort to accomplish individual community projects.
Path– everybody at the workshop will develop their own hour card that specifies areas of competence. The hour card features a picture of the individual, contact info, a list of skill sets and themes, current expertise level and some key numerology information that allows interconnection based on spiritual orientation. At a workshop, people place these cards into a slot on the grid board, where they wish to apply their individual talent.
The workshop leader would initially outline the task for the group effort and assign roles to the acolytes based on the skills on their current hour card. This discussion gets people motivated to start building, by placing the tools in their hands and the project goal in their mindset; to build the prototype envisioned by the creator for that specific application. This can be the composting toilet, the solar kitchen, the rabbit barn, or any other mechanism that the community needs to develop as part of the process of building a redundantly effective living system based on the natural model of life. For each application, the player will invest their time in exchange for the mentor’s knowledge, but each of the mentors will be a player in other group processes that are developing. Thus people contribute to each project as they can and develop their own projects to build the community both in form and function.
As people develop more expertise, they increase the value of their time available for exchange. This change is reflected on the hour cards – the hours put into a workshop demonstrates effective work on task, allowing each person to bring a more developed skill back to the home community. Each person is worth more based on the effort that they put into learning the themes and skills, which become part of the currency of exchange through the elemental bank. Hours are traded rather than dollars that would be spent outside the community. The goal is group sufficiency, based on complementary people accomplishing multiple tasks.
