For the discussion, I just want you to state an expectation you have for this course and any burning questions you have about global warming that you have a hard time answering for yourself. We may not answer all of them right away, but I will go back and make sure that we answer all of them by the end of the course.

Teachers seemed to want numbers and facts at their finger tips that they could easily use to talk to parents and colleagues that are skeptical of climate change. The graph assignments help with this, but it is important to balance the data with solutions. Acknowledging the problem is only half the battle. We actually have to fix the problem and work together to do it, so solutions and bridging divergent worldviews are also an important objective of the course even if it is not part of the original expectations of the students.
