This January 2011 Solutions is proud to release a special issue on "Solutions for the Oceans" in tandem with this year's National Council for Science and the Environment's conference "Our Changing Oceans." This special issue, guest edited by Drs. Nancy Knowlton, Jeremy Jackson and Jennifer Jacquet, explores the most innovative and promising solutions for our oceans and planet. It features articles by some of the world's leading biologists, conservationists, and oceanographers, including Robert Corell on Arctic native peoples and climate change, Jon Day on protecting Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Daniel Pauly on shifting baselines back to a more abundant ocean, and many more. This special issue explores the most innovative and promising solutions for our oceans and beyond.
As a special offer to the attendees of this year's NCSE conference, Solutions will provide a complimentary copy of the "Solutions for the Oceans" special issue with your conference registration. We will also offer a $5 discount for an annual subscription to Solutions to NCSE attendees if they subscribe at the conference or before January 28th - details on how to get your discount will be available at the conference.
